How To Rip a Song from SeeqPod

SeeqPod.com allows you to search for music, and listen to them on their cool flash interface. What’s even better, they’re service is awesome on an iPhone.
This tutorial will show you how to download mp3s from SeeqPod.com for free
This is for those stuck at work or school when you are restricted from using p2p apps for getting music. You can either buy your music, or get free mp3s through seeqpod.
actually, by using seeqpod you are already getting free music, but if you wanted to download it to add to your iMusicDevice™ then follow these simple steps. look for the smudge icon 
to quickly find what you need to click on…
you can actually speed through the rest of this tutorial by simply following this little guy and not reading the instructions.

step 1 search for music
search for something… i’ll be looking for a Spitalfield song
step 2 add a track to your playlist
click on the green arrow on the track that you want to add it to your playlist. now you can listen to your song while reading the rest of this tutorial
step 3 ‘options’
click on ‘options’
step 4 ‘Embed this track’
click on ‘Embed this track’
step 5 ctrl+c
copy the playlistXMLPath
step 6 ctrl+v… - ooh whats that over there ===//>
paste the url into a new browser tab
then hit ‘enter’
step 7 ctrl+c… - oh wow, this looks interesting ===//>
copy the ‘cache_location’ url
step 8 ctrl + hey there’s more sites about mp3s over here.. ===//>
paste the mp3 file url into your address bar
then hit ‘enter’
in most cases, you will be prompted to start downloading the mp3 file. but if you have some default browser plugin mp3 player, then it will just start playing… then you’d want to go to ‘File’ -> ‘Save Page As’ and save it somewhere in your filesystem.
if you have a *nix based system, you probably have ‘wget’ installed, so just open a terminal and:
$wget http://4.71.164.231/0d/6d/083/d99/f7d/c7b/260/4c8/ac3/3f6/401/722/9be/f4d.mp3
that’s it… enjoy free songs
the google search version
you can also search web directory indexes for mp3 files, much like seeqpod does (eliminating the middle man)
just google search: intitle:"index.of" (mp3) song
where song is the song title, album, or artist that you are searching for
example: search for “october fall”
intitle:"index.of" (mp3) october fall
or you can use jimmyr’s mp3 google search form
this way is much more efficient, especially for downloading bulk mp3s, but is not as accurate as seeqpod, probably because seeqpod searches through id3s too. my example did not return very good results.

It doesnt work all it says for me under cash location is “This cache location URL is no longer available”

Yes the file location and the cache file are not always there.
if you want to download the file directly, but it doesn’t exist in seeqpod’s cache anymore, try searching for it in http://www.musiclemon.com/
found results have a direct download link.
